Saudi Crown Prince Arrives at White House for Talks with Trump

Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, was welcomed at the White House on Tuesday by US President Donald Trump.

Crown Prince Mohammed is on an official visit to the United States at the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

Trump warmly received Crown Prince Mohammed when he arrived at the White House for a pomp-filled arrival that included a military flyover and a thundering greeting from the US Marine band.

An Oval Office meeting and luncheon in the Cabinet Room will follow.

Ahead of the highly anticipated visit, Trump announced on Monday that he will sell F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.

“They have been a great ally,” Trump said of Saudi Arabia.

The sale of the fighter jets is one of several major deals between the two countries expected to be announced during the visit.

Trump had headed to the Kingdom on his first official foreign visit since his reelection.
